North America User Conference

i2 Group, a world-leader in investigative analysis software, is pleased to announce that it has achieved two certifications in information security that further ensure the protection of its customers’ and partners’ data.

The certifications are for Cyber Essentials and ISO/IEC 27001:2013, commonly referred to as ISO 27001. ISO 27001 is the international standard for best practice in information security management systems, and Cyber Essentials is a UK Government-backed scheme that aims to protect organisations against a range of common cyber-attacks.

Jamie Caffrey, Executive Vice President of i2 Group, said:

"Given the industries we work in, where we help the most secure and trusted agencies globally to use data effectively in their investigations, it was important to us to demonstrate our commitment to protecting their data. We have implemented many new systems and processes this year, and it is a testament to our dedicated team that we are able to achieve these well-respected and important certifications that will help to support our business into the future."

Our compliance with ISO 27001 demonstrates our commitment to a repeatable, continuously improving, risk-based security programme and was conducted by BSI, a certification body for management systems accredited through UKAS for the audit of Information Security Management Systems

The Cyber Essentials certification recognises that we take cyber security seriously. It sets out five controls that an organisation must have in place to strengthen its cyber defences from the internet gateway through to user access controls. It ensures we have a clear picture of our cyber security risks, mitigations and control measures to better secure both our and our valued customers’ and partners’ data.
