i2 Group, a Harris Computer company, are seeking an experienced Senior Consulting Software Developer on a full-time, permanent, remote or hybrid-working basis with frequent travel to customer sites around the Gloucestershire area.

You’ll join i2’s Professional Services team, working directly with UK clients or alongside our international partners to deploy, configure and optimise i2 intelligence analysis platforms across the full product lifecycle - from architectural design and implementation planning to training handover and long‑term optimisation.

You’ll bring deep domain and technical expertise to every stage of deployment, acting as a trusted extension of the client team to deliver impactful solutions, drive adoption and enable analysts to extract meaningful intelligence from complex datasets.

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Architecture & Implementation
  Collaborate with clients to design and implement bespoke roadmap strategies, including planning, deployment, upgrades, data migrations, and performance tuning.
• Platform Customisation & Integration
  Configure and extend our core products (Analyst’s Notebook, iBase, Analysis Hub/Studio, TextChart) to align with customer workflows, data requirements and integrate with existing systems.
• Client Engagement & Requirements Management
  Understand gather and document business requirements and translate them into functional configurations and technical designs. Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes clearly to client stakeholders.
• Performance Review & System Optimisation
  Conduct health checks, refine performance, recommend improvements, and guide clients on enhancing analyst workflows and system maturity.
• Knowledge Transfer & Training Support
  Deliver knowledge transfer sessions, best practice‑ training and demonstrations. Support the internal training team or directly upskill client analysts.

Essential Requirements

• Coding Skills
  Professional experience working with JavaScript/TypeScript/REACT – please note that hands-on coding ability is essential.
• Database Skills
  Experience working with databases (SQL Server or PostgreSQL), including writing T-SQL.
• Customer-Facing Experience
  Comfortable and willing to work directly with clients in a professional setting, and with direct client-facing work experience.
• Communication Skills
  Confident explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Consulting Experience
  3–5 years, (at least 2 years client-facing) in technology or professional services, with exposure to intelligence, security, or government sectors preferred.
• Security Clearance Ability
  Comfortable handling sensitive data and have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship (in order to obtain the required security clearances for the role).

Desirable Requirements

• Application Deployment/Configuration
  • Have deployed or configured applications on Windows or Linux Systems, using automation and in a professional context. Awareness of CICD pipelines and automated deployment testing would be a significant benefit.
• Development Experience
  • Any experience in Java or C# would be considered valuable.
• Virtualisation/Containers
  • Experience with virtualisation or container platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Pre-existing i2 experience
  • Hands on knowledge of i2’s Analyst’s Notebook, iBase, Analysis Studio/Hub and TextChart would be a significant advantage, along with experience with data connectors and visualisation.

i2 Group, a Harris Computer company, are seeking an experienced Presales Technical Consultant on a full-time, permanent basis. i2 Group is looking to strengthen its presence across EMEA by expanding its footprint within enterprise and public sector organisations, and building momentum across key markets and accounts.

The EMEA Technical Sales role will play a key part in this growth by working alongside regional sales colleagues to understand customer requirements, align i2 products and services to those needs, and provide the technical confidence required to progress complex opportunities.

This role combines customer-facing technical engagement, solution positioning, demonstration development, tender input, and product feedback. It is suited to someone who can translate operational problems into compelling technology use cases, support sales progression, and represent i2 credibly in front of senior, operational, and technical stakeholders.

Customer Requirements & Solution Alignment

• Work with regional sales colleagues to engage customers and partners across EMEA, spanning both public sector and commercial organisations
• Lead technical discovery conversations to understand customer requirements, operational challenges, success criteria, and procurement drivers
• Map client needs to i2 products, services, integrations, and delivery options
• Translate customer problems into clear technical approaches, solution narratives, and value-based use cases
• Support early opportunity shaping by helping customers understand what is technically possible and how i2 can support their mission or business outcomes

Demonstrations, Presentations & Opportunity Support

• Develop, configure, and deliver tailored demonstrations of i2 technology to support opportunity progression
• Create demonstration scenarios that reflect customer use cases, sector-specific workflows, and operational priorities
• Present i2 technologies clearly and confidently to business, operational, and technical audiences
• Use demonstrations to build customer confidence, clarify requirements, address objections, and seek commitment to next steps
• Support workshops, discovery sessions, webinars, and digital engagements that help progress opportunities through the sales cycle

Tender, Proposal & Bid Support

• Provide technical input into tenders, proposals, statements of work, and customer response documents
• Develop clear product descriptions, capability summaries, architecture explanations, and technical responses aligned to customer requirements
• Work with Sales, Product, Delivery, and other internal teams to ensure responses are accurate, compelling, and deliverable
• Support the creation of proposal content that explains how i2 products and services deliver operational impact and measurable value
• Contribute to compliance responses, requirement matrices, demonstration scripts, and supporting technical collateral

Internal Collaboration & Product Feedback

• Work closely with Product and Development teams to identify recurring customer demands, capability gaps, and enhancement opportunities
• Capture field feedback and translate it into clear roadmap request items, use cases, and prioritisation evidence
• Maintain awareness of current and planned product capabilities to ensure customer messaging is accurate and realistic
• Collaborate with Delivery teams to support smooth transition from pre-sales engagement into implementation planning
• Share market and customer insight with Sales, Product, and Leadership teams to support positioning and go-to-market activity

Conferences, Exhibitions & Market Engagement

• Attend conferences, exhibitions, customer events, and partner engagements across EMEA as required
• Demonstrate and present i2 technologies in face-to-face and digital settings
• Engage prospects and customers in discussions about their use cases, operational problems, and technology needs
• Support event preparation, demonstration environments, messaging, follow-up activity, and technical qualification of leads
• Be willing to travel regularly across the region to support sales campaigns, customer meetings, and strategic events

Required Qualifications

• Experience in technical sales, pre-sales, solution consulting, sales engineering, product consulting, or a related customer-facing technology role
• Strong ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into relevant product and service solutions
• Experience developing and delivering software demonstrations to business, operational, and technical audiences
• Ability to contribute technical content to tenders, proposals, bid responses, and customer-facing documentation
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work effectively with Sales, Product, Development, Delivery, and partner teams
• Willingness to travel across EMEA and represent i2 at customer meetings, conferences, and exhibitions, with up to 50% of time allocated to travel expected.

Preferred Background

• Experience within enterprise software, analytics, data platforms, investigation, intelligence, or mission-critical environments
• Exposure to public sector, defence, law enforcement, national security, financial crime, or regulated industries
• Experience working with partners, systems integrators, consultancies, or partner-led sales models
• Understanding of customer workflows, operational use cases, data integration, analytics, and decision-support technologies
• Background in enterprise technology, consulting, delivery, product management, or technical implementation environments.
