Product update: First half of 2025

2025 has been a very busy year, here at i2 Group. Our teams have been working hard to deliver exciting new products and features to the i2 community. We wanted to bring you up to speed with everything that’s been delivered so far in 2025 and invite you to get in touch with us to find out more or get a demo of anything that piques your interest. 

Lets start being taking a look at several new product launches that have taken place so far in 2025, these are:

i2 Insights

A new add-on to i2 Analyst's Notebook, i2 Insights supercharges your data processing. this new  product allows you to drag and drop files such as call data records and get range of views onto the data – statistical, geospatial, temporal or link analysis – instantly. This allows analysts and investigators to spend less time on preparing and uploading data and more time on analyzing the data.

i2 Overwatch

Defense industry solution providing consistent and accurate “Battlespace Object Management” view by collecting and fusing ISR, SIGINT, HUMINT, OSINT, and coalition data. i2 Overwatch has been developed to ensure that this data is presented in a way that is immediately recognisable to NATO members.

i2 Explore for iBase

Extend the reach of your intelligence to any user with our new web-based exploration application for iBase. Provides users with quick and easy direct access to an organization’s intelligence repository and a seamless “360-view” of targets, without relying on trained analysts.

There’s something for everyone in these products regardless of your background or your level of technical expertise. All these new products make it simple for you to either build a picture of what is going to or to find that nugget of information which can make a difference to your analysis. 

Alongside these new releases, we’ve also released some great new enhancements to our existing products that are the defacto standard visual analysis tools for intelligence analysts from all industries. 

What's new in i2 Analyst's Notebook?

Improved performance

• Common tasks are up to 90% faster
• Significantly reduced time to save large charts, copy data between charts, visualize 250,000 or more records

Enhanced look and feel

• New look user interface (UI)
• New look icon set across all i2 Group products, with additional icons introduced to cover new technologies, social media, dating apps, crimes and activities. There's also a new 'icon picker' to quickly search icon options by keyword

Visualization enhancements

• Animated highlighter illustrates the direction of links between chart entities
• Named Groups allows you to logically group multiple items together and show them as a composite e.g. grouping a number of people into a gang

What's new in iBase?

Built from the ground up, the start of 2025 saw the release of iBase v10. The 64-bit architecture provided enhanced scalability and performance. The product has a brand new icon set aligned with the latest release of i2 Analyst’s Notebook and contains significant enhancements to the importer, scheduler, reporting and security.
