i2 Group is pleased to announce this latest release which brings a wave of enhancements across our product lineup. We also have some exciting announcements to make in September, so make sure that you are following us on LinkedIn for more details.

Effortless data acquisition, integration, and visualization

  • Analysts can now import spreadsheets directly into the web client using the new importer tool, unlocking an additional option for web-based data acquisition.

  • The palette has also been introduced to the web client, allowing users to seamlessly generate chart items and rapidly create network visualizations in the web.

  • The new i2 Connector Designer empowers non-programmers to rapidly create connectors to search organizational databases and commercial data providers through an intuitive, web-based wizard. This code-free capability supports REST connections to MS SQL, Oracle RDBMS, and more.

  • 1000+ new icons give analysts flexibility to create finished intelligence products that represent contemporary social media platforms, emergent technology devices, and new data formats on the chart, with a refreshed look-and-feel.

Accelerated Insights

  • Highlighter tool enhancements give the user the ability to dynamically visualize the flow of information across a network to aid with financial transaction analysis and pattern-of-life development
  • Performance enhancements to Analyst’s Notebook have significantly reduced the amount of time it takes to perform common tasks such as opening, closing and saving charts.

‘Copy’ chart data can now be carried out in seconds instead of minutes – up to a 96% reduction!

  • To make it easier for users to quickly gain insight to data on the chart, we’ve introduced customizable badges that show a summarized view of the number of records contained within a single entity or link. The appearance is customizable and supports iBase, Analysis Studio and Analysis Hub records.

  • Grouping and naming associated chart items is now quicker than ever, with new capabilities to create and apply custom styling to logical groups directly on the chart surface.

Enhanced collaboration

  • Visual queries can now be shared between users and groups to eliminate repetitive tasks across a team of analysts. The new administrator console provides enterprise-wide control over sharing permissions.

  • Cross-organization sharing has been unlocked, with the addition of a view-only Record Inspector in Analyst's Notebook - i2 charts can now be shared and viewed across agencies and organizations, regardless of which i2 product was initially used to create them.

  • New data lineage enhancements enable the user to view a reference to the original source document that was used to create an entity or association on the chart, affording greater traceability and evidence sharing.

More intuitive workflows

  • Attribute labels can now be toggled on/off directly from the Analyst’s Notebook ribbon, making it easier to create rich, detailed charts for analysis, and quickly pivot to simplified views that are presentation-ready.

  • To support more intuitive unstructured data analysis, TextChart has new and improved name normalization capabilities to make it easier to distinguish between similarly-spelled names.

  • Enhancements have also been made to help extract common entity and link types in law enforcement and medical investigations from unstructured data.

Greater Security

  • TextChart has a refined security model that supports least privileges to limit data access to users with a ‘need-to-know.’
  • i2 Group achieved SOC-2 Type-2 accreditation to support data processing and governance. Read more about this in our blog.
