i2 Group is pleased to announce this latest release which sees many new features and the introduction of two new packages.
Analysis Studio and Analysis Hub are new software packages designed to make it easy for you to select i2 products to meet your investigation needs.
Both have at their core i2® Analyst’s Notebook® – containing all the features and tools that analysts have come to rely on – together with flexible options to customize your deployment for your organization, team size, and mission.
Analysis Studio extends i2® Analyst’s Notebook® with features that enable analysts to connect and search data sources on demand and improve collaboration by securely sharing intelligence. It also includes a web client to make it simpler and more convenient for a broader set of users to work with charts.
Analysis Hub is for multidisciplinary teams that need all the benefits of Analysis Studio but at an enterprise level, to enable investigations to take advantage of centralized data. It makes the analysts’ task of managing and exploiting multiple data sources much easier by making available analysis-ready data in a common location. The centralized data store also allows other users to exploit and view the same data in different ways to suit their role or use case.
Analysis Studio is the replacement for i2® Analyst’s Notebook® Premium (ANBP), and Analysis Hub replaces i2 Enterprise Insight Analysis (EIA). They offer the same multi-dimensional visual analysis functionality without the inclusion of bundled IBM products. Removing the dependency on IBM products will serve us better in the mid to long term and will set us up to be more flexible and provide more regular product updates.
Search results can be filtered to fine-tune them by using keywords or phrases, making it easier to find key information in larger result sets.
Search tab management simplifies the management of search results, and for external searches, allows users to comply with data retention policies by allowing them to remove temporary search results that are stored on the server.

Using the power of semantics, it is now possible to search between connectors using different property types which have the same or similar meaning. This allows users to gain greater insights from multiple connected sources.
Users can also hide specific connectors as well as individual searches within the external search tool, making it easier for them to find and work with the connectors and searches that they use most often.

Enhancements have been made to improve the operations of external searches based on i2 iBase records. Users can now easily search for associated information in connected data sources and ensure that returned search results are united with iBase records to prevent the creation of disconnected networks on the chart. There are also updated tools to align schemas to further streamline data flows.

The customizable 360 View for a record can now be accessed directly from the chart, and improvements to selection tools make it quicker to select and view important information.
